Hello, my name is Carly. I use poetry and creative writing as my muse.

I found poetry to alleviate my anxiety. Whatever I observed from the world, all the beauty and the ugliness of this world, I wrote it down. All my concerns in a poem let me feel like I could let the attachment to that feeling go. And maybe give people a chance to look at the world through a new angle and possibly entertain them as well.

I love how poetry is free expression. There are no written rules to write a poem. Poetry subjects can vary from spiritual, political to societal issues.

As a child, I always enjoyed the wit and humor of Dr. Seuss and Shel Silverstein. Then as I got older, Ralph Waldo Emerson’s nature essay and his poetry added a new layer and excitement to my writing.
