True Wisdom of the Ages

Come on love, don’t grow weary on me

I need you to teach me

Not just preach to me

I have this insatiable longing

Nothing fills this void

No wisdom from books

Or quote from Sigmund Freud

This is my stream of consciousness

He did have wisdom in that

I know I gold in my pocket

But in reality, I am depressed too

So many erased dates I am stressed and blue

I have no dry eye socket

But wisdom changes with the ages

But one thing is for certain

I will keep my praises

Each day has enough trouble of its own

Jesus was the wisest of them all

People Highly Esteemed

When your dreams turn to rust

And there’s no one to trust

You feel like you put in the corner

On an alien planet as a foreigner

It’s so vital to love and forgive

Yes, we come from Adam’s sinful ribs

But we should live as the redeemed

People highly esteemed

Final Bow

Dry seasoning

No hidden meaning

What started as love

Ends with screaming

Dry rub

It’s never enough

I want reassurance

But that takes insurance

Time and money

Can’t see the trees through the forest

The bee ate all the honey

It’s no longer funny

But you say there’s hope in the sky

Will it shine like a pretty sunrise up high?

I forget every worry

It erases every why

The review mirror is no longer blurry

And the traffic isn’t in a hurry

You need the fruits of the Spirit now

Where joy, peace and patience you allow

You shine like stars in the night

Memories that make you go wow

Stubbornness and pride will take a final bow

Love is Stronger

Love is stronger than prophecy

Or supernatural tongues you speak

God is in the midst of you

But give Him your love first

You wonder where He is

You strive with such force

Things go from better to worse

Do you realize freedom can come

As soon as you rest some

Let go of your need for understanding

Trust the One who we can’t comprehend

His love is real compared to the world’s pretend

All He wants is your love and a “Amen”

We are all Heaven-Sent

Fingerprints in your soul

As unique as your fingerprint

You say you aren’t paying rent

But aren’t you heaven-sent?

Your cells are fluttering like butterflies in your body

Don’t worry about your mortality

We all getting ready for the finale

When we will wake up to a new reality
